A Godless society is a lawless society, and a lawless society is a loveless society.

Love will grow cold without law.

Matthew 24:12 (CJB)
“12 and many people’s love will grow cold because of increased distance from Torah.”

Without the law, we are left to chaos and destruction. There is no liberty without law. And without liberty, there is no love.

America! America! Wake up, and return to godliness! Renounce your Godlessness! Renounce your lawlessness! Renounce your lovelessness!

Yeshua had to free us from bondage to sin and lawlessness so we could enjoy liberty in the framework of His law. Lawlessness is the yoke of bondage that we cannot endure.

Galatians 5:1 (CJB)

 “What the Messiah has freed us for is freedom! Therefore, stand firm, and don’t let yourselves be tied up again to a yoke of slavery.”

We cannot endure the yoke of bondage to transgressions because the penalty is death.

Romans 6:23 (CJB)
“23 For what one earns from sin is death; but eternal life is what one receives as a free gift from God, in union with the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord.”

We are appointed once to die the first death, but we can be resurrected to life from it. I believe Sha’ul (Paul) is speaking of the second death from which there is no resurrection.

Revelation 20:14 (CJB)
“14 Then Death and Sh’ol were hurled into the lake of fire. This is the second death—the lake of fire.”

Living according to God’s law is a privilege and freedom, not a punishment.
